It’s been 82 LONG days since we’ve been able to hit the training paddock. 82 Days has seemed like an eternity but we’ve finally reached the light at the end of the tunnel.
Yesterday marked a monumental day for the Frankston Raiders family. Not only did we get to take our first steps onto Peninsula Reserve, the new home of the Frankston Raiders but we finally got to train together as a family. Our U13 / U15 Boys and Girls were amongst the first in the Country to retake the sporting field paving the way for the remainder of our Raiders family and the belated start to our 2020 Season.
After countless hours of research, hard work and dedication our COVID Return to Play strategy was put into play. Our COVID Officers were amazing, ensuring our plan was followed and executed with the safety of all of our participants being our number one priority.
With the success of our return to training and confidence in our plan, we are incredibly excited to welcome back all of our players from our U6’s through to Masters over the coming weeks. A full training plan will be posted confirming days/times. All training is currently Non-contact & hygiene friendly with no shared equipment (except balls which are washed and sanitised), keeping a 1.5m distance where practicable. We are hopeful to return to full contact training early July with a season commencement imminent later in the month.
